Dear Neighbors,
TLPOA had a good annual meeting in May with good attendance and participation. The new board elected at the annual meeting in May is
once again a healthy blend of new members and those carrying over. Many thanks to immediate past members Cara Farnsworth , Kelly Johnson,
Richard Hess for their dedication and effort. And we already appreciate the same from new members Janice Blanton, Ross Wade, Diane Zbasnik
and Sandy Etheredge.
The quality of this neighborhood depends on far more than a board of ten. Rather, it depends on tens of neighbors doing some parts of the
variety of services that benefit the neighborhood. There are plenty of opportunities to help your neighbor whether through parks, socials,
‘tech’ talents, etc.
Thanks to all of you who have paid the annual dues, so far . Understand that our dues are vastly less compared to similar associations.
The legal matter about the lake properties is still in progress. There was a June 8th Travis County court hearing where our motions for
Summary Judgment were granted. We are now in a settlement phase of this matter.
Another legal proceeding is also still in progress, regarding upkeep of the common area more known as the “Little Park”. The parties are
engaged but there is no substantial update to pass along at this writing.
Even with a low lake level July 4th holiday saw a lot usage of Park usage. Our
www.tlpoa.org website is running well and is easy to interact
with such as for making park reservations. I encourage you to make good use of the website.
Please notify the board if you would like to receive this letter electronically rather than by paper. (saves some expense).
Yours truly,
Patrick Johnston
President, TLPOA
